Just by chance, I was looking through some of the ribbon I have collected, and ended up with a rusty colored one and blue one. That was a little different color combination for me, so I decided to try and see what I could come up with. The fabric collage is approximately 7 x 10 inches. The background fabric is a rusty velvet/velour. I've added a piece of lace, a few blue beads, a wooden bird, a twig, and some scraps.

Just lovley

Rust and blue, 2 of my favorite colors. This is gorgeous. I love the trees poping in here and there. Did you draw them in?

Very nice. I probably wouldn't have picked blue and rust either because they're not my normal working colors, but they work so well (oh, yes, opposites). Lovely! --LaRinda :-)

This is absolutely breathtaking! The colors and textures are so soft and inviting that I didn't even notice the nature elements. That just shows how well you blended everything in to make a wonderfully eye-catching piece! Everything blends together so well.

Thank you for commenting on my blog! I was so excited to see that you had because I love your work--your color combinations are beautiful and your assemblages make me so wistful, to own one and to make my own. Wow! You made my night.
Oh, and I wanted to ask how you added the trees in the piece above, transfer? stamp? They are so subtle that I didn't catch them in the first look. I love when the odd bits ad pieces come together into something so lovely.
Have a good night!
