I was talking with someone the other day about the color red, and I think that might be why I pulled this new piece of Basic Grey paper with lots of reds to start the background of this box.
In the Dec/Jan 2007 of Legacy magazine, one of my very favorite artists, Connie Govea Stuart, has a feature article. I borrowed the idea of the pin cushion from two pieces shown in the article. The image is a photocopy that is tinted with chalks, and the curtain is made from strips of a sewing pattern.
Another idea I borrowed from Connie Govea Stuart's article is to make something small with the scraps from the artwork, that can later be shared as small gifts. Some of you may already do this, but I would just throw the scraps in a basket to use later. Here are a couple of tags I made with the leftovers. This is an idea I plan to use a lot more often!
